a set of flashcards with pictures and French Christmas vocab and a second set with French number words to be printed on the back of the cards. Make a tree or other background shape and blutack the laminated cards number side showing on the tree. Each day allow a child to find the right card for the date and turn it over and so introduce a new item of Christmas vocabulary. The cards could also just be used as flashcards or if printed without the words they could be blutacked on board in 3 rows of 3 to play noughts and crosses

A simple idea to introduce some Christmas vocabulary into the classroom.
