This resource has been prepared to guide students on how best to approach and answer the questions that typically arise in the CIE Paper 6 Alternative to Practical.
The resource is a single presentation, best used in conjunction with the following two CIE examination papers: M20 62 and S20 61 (available to download from the CIE School Support Hub or other distribution websites such as https://papers.gceguide.com/IGCSE/Biology (0610)/2020/).
The resource covers the following topics and question types: method writing, identifying variables, constructing a graph, biological drawings, calculating magnification, as well as a range of other skill areas frequently assessed in this paper.
Personally, I will be using the resource as a revision aid on the morning of the examination, with students having access to printouts of the relevant papers that are used as examples throughout the presentation.
