This pack contains worksheets, notebook presentation, WAGOLLS and examples to identify features. Please note: many of the resources use the font Hfw cursive. If you do not have this font, you will need to adapt/edit the resources as necessary.

Day 1 - Identifying and using effective vocabulary
Day 2 - Using adverbials to link ideas within and across paragraphs
Day 3 - Using effective vocabulary to describe a setting
Day 4 - Consider effective character description and infer from details
Day 5 - Identify the features of a diary
Day 6 - Write a diary
Day 7 - Understand word classes (SATs Question lesson)
Day 8 - Use colons (Includes link to espresso video - these are sometimes available on Youtube)
Day 9 - Write a descriptive narrative
Day 10 - Use commas to avoid ambiguity (Includes link to espresso video - these are sometimes available on Youtube)
Day 11 - Use the subjunctive
Day 12 - Identify the features of a letter
Day 13 - Using colons
Day 14 - Plan letter to known recipient
Day 15 - Write letter

Lessons do vary in length and I use paper flipchart around my classroom for wagolls/children’s ideas (See flipchart images)
