This is really great. Will be using the heroes and villains game in this lesson and others too.

Nice one Sheila. To experience Diwali I would certainly recommend any school visiting one of the local Hare Krsna temples www.iskcon.org.uk . The devotees are very experienced and would be very happy to put on a presentation for school children and usually some singing and dancing too! They may even have a short play that they can put on involving the children. In London there are temples in South London, Watford, Central London and smaller Centres in many other parts of London and South East. Happy Diwali. Hare Krsna! Bhupen

Excellent resource. I love the idea of having one pupil in darkness and the other in light. Thanks so much. Will be using this with Year 4 in a yeargroup assembly.
