I have created two lessons based around the topic of pirates.
One lesson looks at character development of pirates, looking at language techniques and effects including adjectives, similes and show not tell. The other lesson looks at pirate life and requires students to write a diary extract for a day in the life of a pirate.
I used this with a low ability Year 7 group but would also be great for KS2.
