Three, short activities to assess on-going learning during a lesson. Can be used for any subject and all abilities as they are easily differentiated up or down with no extra work for the teacher.
Activity 1: determines any confusion/lack of understanding.
Activity 2: requires all pupils to contribute an answer from their current learning.
Activity 3: think and link activity prevents straight recall, encouraging more in-depth answers
Equipment = Mini-whiteboards and pens but sticky notes/scrap paper would suffice.
