This resource is a script and guide for a KS1 class assembly about the water cycle. It tells a narrative of the main elements of the water cycle. Parts include rain drops, clouds, children holding umbrellas and meteorologists. It contains an editable script, ideas for simple, low cost costumes, music and props with photos to use as a guide!

When looking for an assembly for my class, I felt like I hit a brick wall! All assemblies were either too expensive to buy, too long and complex or not editable, meaning I had to rewrite the script anyway! As a busy teacher, I wanted something inexpensive and simple to edit so that it suited my class and my school.

This assembly runs for 15 - 20 mins, is low cost and low prep and is sure to ‘wow’ an audience of parents with nostalgic songs, body percussion and even a rainbow! Originally written for 15 pupils, this assembly can easily be adapted for a class of 30.

Please note that this resource does not include any lyrics/sheet music for songs. It does include ideas for easily adapted popular music or traditional songs.
