This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 3 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 175-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 62-page workbook on money - Outcomes 10 and 11: Calculate with money using decimal notation and express money correctly in writing in pounds and pence and round amounts of money to the nearest £1 or 10p.
The resources have been designed to enable pupils to achieve these outcomes:

PowerPoint Lesson
The PowerPoint is ideal for introducing the money component of the Entry Level 3 specification and for revision purposes. It also contains links to several short videos on using money symbols correctly, rounding and estimating money, converting between pounds and pence and exam style money questions.
Workbook
The 62-page workbook contains twenty-six information/explanation pages, thirty-three worksheets (with answers), two progress checks, and a certificate of achievement. The resource is available in PDF format and an editable version to enable personalisation of the resource. The workbookcan be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
