The lesson focuses on red-light shift as evidence for the Big Bang. It recaps on waves and the Doppler effect but is also suitable for the first time teaching the Doppler effect. The idea of red-shift is taught in an engaging way, peoples have to look at galaxies and are given their distances from earth and their spectral pattern and work out for themselves what the data is showing, theory then follows. Includes work booklet for students, powerpoint and a help sheet for those who are struggling.
