Example learning intentions for each sound:
Target phoneme /s/ written as ‘ss’
Learning intentions are to:
* recap what we know
* say the /s/ phoneme
* find the letters ‘ss’
* read words with ‘ss’ in
* spell words with ‘ss’ in
* write the letters ‘ss’
I have used these in my own class for the last two years. Children engage well and the handwriting has improved also.
