Different types of activities to help engage students in revision for additional applied science.
Odd one out - student choose the odd one out (ext - explain why its the odd one)
Beat the clock - students work in groups. One student from each group collects the first question. They all work to More…gether to get the right answer and one student brings the books to me to be marked. If all work is neat and correct they get the next question. It gets very competitive and very fun!
Pairs - better for smaller groups as you have to have a set of cards per pair/3. Students have all the cards face down and turn over 2 at a time to try to match a keyword with a definition. I put each set on different coloured card and kept them for this year.
Spot the mistake - underline the 5 mistakes. Ext - correct the mistakes.
