Powerpoint uses the analogy of moving team players to the opposing team to illustrate how terms appear to move from one side of the equals sign to the other when solving equations. the concrete nature of the example seems to suit less able learners but is equally valuable for the more able, especially those who like sport!

An interesting idea and will be a good approach for some students. I can see that some students would take to this more easily and remember the analogy than the 'standard' way.
