SpaceX, Starlink and the Digital Divide

A resource that harnesses the power of SpaceX’s Starlink program to educate students about the digital divide. Explore the satellite constellation’s mission to provide global Internet access, sparking discussions on equitable connectivity and inspiring students to address this critical issue in our digital age.

It includes a number of comprehension tasks, a longer guided reading task and a group project designed to encourage students to design their own solution to the global digital divide using a budget of $100K and using online research to find real world prices.

Students then give positive feedback to each other’s pitches.
