PSHE / misogyny lesson resource which aims to combat the emergence of misogynistic views which have increased since the emergence of Andrew Tate (he is not mentioned). The resource looks at some of the traditional masculine views and expectations of men in the past and considers if some of these would really be beneficial to young men today, this is done by comparing a man of the 1950s and 2020s and also encouraging pupils to consider the life they would want their important women to have.

We also offer tutorials and lessons on toxic masculinity, online misogyny and radicalisation into incel culture which would support this resource. You can find them here.

This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required). The resource is designed to be delivered as one 60 minute session but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so.

No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced PSHE teacher. Lesson meets PSHE guidance.

Please be aware that there is a brief reference to rape within marriage in this resource which you may wish to remove for a young or immature class, all other material is appropriate for a wide range of ages.
