Welcome to your new class and teacher : Transition Powerpoint

This is a PowerPoint that I have used for several years now. It contains a lovely welcome letter that can be printed and sent home with children and contains slides for you to edit and personalise with your own photos etc. It give ideas for talking about your likes and dislikes, fears, challenges, your hopes and dreams, things you find difficult, any big mistakes you have made when teaching for example ( keep it appropriate!). It helps with letting your class know you are human and even you make mistakes and also enjoy a challenge! There is a discussion point at the end for the children to discuss theirs, which can lead into a nice writing activity or just an oral discussion.
I have used this in both KS1 and KS2.
