Fair Earth - The Gateway to Global Citizenship

Whales and dolphins - otherwise known as cetaceans - are amongst the most charismatic members of the animal kingdom. In this lesson plan, students will delve into their evolutionary history and find out about the challenges these creatures face today. Selected video presentations will give students an overview of the whaling industry; and why holding cetaceans in captivity must come to an end. Activity workshops and home assignments will deepen students’ understanding of these issues and give them a chance to take a lead in making a difference.

Suitable for in-class or online learning. Lesson plan by Paul Doherty.
