This is a great game that you can play as an icebreaker at the beginning of the year (or anytime really) to help kids develop connections, laugh, get to know each other and have a good time working together to complete a challenge.
This game is good for all ages - even adults :-)
The challenge is to finish all 60 task cards in the shortest amount of time possible.
The real purpose of the game is just to “break the ice” - to have fun working together, to get kids laughing with one another and to provide some teachable moments about the power of connections and being brave.
Setup:
● Normally I have the students/participants circle up in the middle of the gym and spread the cards face down on the ground in front of them.
● For one smaller class - 1 deck is good. If you have more than 25-30 students I would print 2 decks.
Rules:
● The goal of the game is for everyone to work together to accomplish all of the task cards as quickly as possible. Some of the cards can be accomplished alone, but many of them will require the help of someone else. So be aware that you’ll need to help teammates out in order to complete the challenge.
● Once your task is completed, bring the card to your teacher and place it face down in their hand, then go pick up another card. If there are no cards available, try to find someone else with a card and help them complete their task.
● Everyone gets ONE redo (you can put a card back and choose another one)
● When all the cards have been turned in - the teacher will stop the timer
Have Fun and Teach On!

This is a great resource and my year 7s absolutely loved it. They were running between 15-20mins non stop without complaining. They were brilliant and my class is a mixture of ability and behaviour. The instructions on how to do the activity is included in the resource. Its really simple to explain and cross-curricular. If you have time it would be nice to know what you thought of the resource. Hope its as useful to you as it was for me.
These clear, detailed and visually-appealing resources help to detail and categorise the EYFS foundation learning in each of the primary curriculum subject areas
It is an important resource for EYFS teachers and parents, but also subject leaders, to aid them in the development of a clearly-mapped and well-sequenced subject curriculum across the school.
This organiser groups the subject-related learning into the relevant EYFS areas of learning (e.g. Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design, Communication and Language, etc.)
The resources are designed to be printed onto A3, and are provided as both PDF and Word documents (so that you can edit if you want to). All images used are licensed for commercial use and are cited on a separate document (included).

The resource contains 3 teaching cards, each card has 3-4 team challenges.
These challenges can be done both in and out doors, they are great games to encourage children to communicate and solve problems as an individual, pair and group
3 Sets of orienteering cards spelling out,
Frankincense
Good Tidings we bring
and Happy Christmas
Kept my Year 4 occupied for nearly an hour searching round to find which number leads to the next to spell out different Christmas word.
Each card contains its number, a letter and then the next number to find.
If printed on different coloured paper the three games can run consecutively and children move from one to the other
This resource is used to teach rounders through a TGFU approach. Each game is one lesson. I have detailed each lesson with a diagram. A TGFU approach allows students a deeper understanding through game play.
Set the students straight into the games and ask questions to probe learning, for example 'In four ball hit - Where should you be hitting these balls', 'How can the fielders work together to be successful' 'What techniques can a batter use to hit the ball in a different direction'.
Lots of different, fun and exciting The Cube style activities. Perfect for any problem solving lesson.
Along with the activity cards, there is also the participant record sheets, along with many of the small activity resources and match up tasks.
These are 2 athletics lessons that you can use to start off your athletics coaching and teaching. They link nicely to the National Curriculum and are easy to deliver and fun for the children. They can be adapted and differentiated for any year group from F2 up to year 6.
The 10 Ladder PE Activities has been created by The PE Shed to provide PE teachers with a resource for improving coordination and movement skills.
