In the 36 photo worksheets:
12 for lower abilities- find, cut and stick from a choice of 4 answers.
12 for middle abilities- find, copy and extend. The start of sentences are modelled and lines are already in place to practise writing on the line.
12 for higher abilities- students should be encouraged to write full sentences independently. Lines are in place for practising writing on the line.

The link is a great little tool to show how fast somebody can read from Staples. I've also included a printable version from my Website, so that you can share with your class. This could be a nice little starter to lead into a discussion about how to improve reading and how the purpose changes the speed and technique used to read.
This activity helps students to develop phonological awareness as they match pictures to the initial sound that they hear.
The themes are the Royal Wedding, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 London Olympics. This activity can also be used as a sorting activity and as a discussion starter for any of the themes.
A re-usable resource if you laminate it and give students mini post-itst o cover their pictures with rather than crossing them off.
