Students reflect on chapters 14 & 15 and read chapters 16 & 17

Students accelerate their reading in a move to finish novel over next 4 lessons. Questions about the text are now " thinking" and not factual retrieval.

Students check vocabulary test, answer some questions on Chapter 5 and begin the last chapter in readiness for close analysis coming in lessons 20 etc.

important words for discussing the novel are tested in this lesson.

Vocabulary to support essay writing and commentaries on the novella.

Students answer questions on chapters 7-10 and read Chapt 11.

Students complete reading Chapt. 5, and a character chart. ( 35 minutes)
