History Escape Room. This is a print and play digital escape room for secondary students . Every student loves to solve a mystery. This brand new escape room activity will not only improve students knowledge of the subject but will hone their problem solving skills, build up their teamwork and leadership skills and allow opportunities to show creativity and resilience.
This escape room could be used in many ways including a treat lesson, revision lesson, open evening session, team building session, taster lesson for the subject, End of term lesson, Start of new year session.

How to use Knowledge Retrieval Topic Task Cards?
These cards are perfect as an extension task, starter or plenary and as a means of testing knowledge upon completion of a unit. For a short task (extension/starter/plenary), you can simply give them one or two cards and differentiate which cards are given according to the students level or their areas needing improvement. For an end of unit, you could hand the cards out to different groups and have them switch the cards after a certain period of time (e.g. one group gets multiple choice, one group gets spot the mistakes, one group gets photocards, etc.).

These cards are perfect as an extension task, starter or plenary and as a means of testing knowledge upon completion of a unit. For a short task (extension/starter/plenary), you can simply give them one or two cards and differentiate which cards are given according to the students level or their areas needing improvement. For an end of unit, you could hand the cards out to different groups and have them switch the cards after a certain period of time (e.g. one group gets multiple choice, one group gets spot the mistakes, one group gets photocards, etc.).

Cut up the states on the bingo call sheet and mix them up in a bowl
Nominate someone to be bingo caller and they pick out one state at a time from the bowl and call it out.
The bingo caller crosses it off on their call sheet and players cross it off on their bingo sheet
First person to get a line shouts “bingo”
First person to get a full sheet shouts “Bingo and out”
Every Bingo sheet comes with a ’Free Middle Space’
Bingo caller must check they have completed it correctly
To increase complexity the teacher could depending on their knowledge call out the capital cities and student could try to work out the name of the states or could call out the nickname of the state like "The sunshine State or the Empire State) - You can google for a list of these.
