This handy A3 resource is ideal for revising key themes and characters from Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The sheet has 12 questions linked to the AQA spec (but could be adapted for other specs easily) and has 12 extracts, which provide key moments from across the whole of the novella. I am using this myself to prepare my year 11s for their Literature examination.

GCSE AQA English Language Paper 2 Dogs

(0)
A full, unseen paper 2 for exam revision that focuses on a modern extract from a letter to a school thanking them for their donation to the dog charity and another 19th century extract about the problem of stray dogs in London. There is also a writing question attached. I have used this with my own year 11 classes as walk through revision for the GCSE exams, which was beneficial as we added notes to the help sheet and then the students were able to write much more detailed responses, moving securely into level 3.
Macbeth Gossip Activity

Macbeth Gossip Activity

(0)
An interactive activity to share ideas quickly about the play. Students are each given their piece of information, then they spread their 'gossip' around the room, exchanging information as they go. After the three minutes is up, they then sit back down and write up everything they can remember that they have read in the last couple of minutes. Students LOVE this and it creates a fantastic learning buzz in the classroom.
