It can be flexibly used from 20 minutes to an hour. Children will produce a piece of descriptive writing based on a film clip and learn how to use a range of sentence openers effectively. It includes: lesson plan, PowerPoint presentation, mild, spicy and hot task and starter activity. Children will reflect upon their writing and evaluate an example of writing in terms of vocabulary and openers. They will use ADDSPICE openers to create writing that is exciting and varied. It can be flexibly used from 20 minutes to an hour. Children will produce a piece of descriptive writing based on a video of a dragon entering school grounds and learn how to use a relative clause effectively.
