I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

Audio and visual in powerpoint plus worksheet. ( Video in YouTube) It's about getting dressed to go out in the cold. The co lours are reinforced in the worksheet. This is the first time I&'ve tried to illustrate this myself so be gentle with me !!!! The claves tap a pulse when the claves picture is shown. There are pictures of the different stages of getting dressed for visual prompts It would help me enormously if you viewed the web page before downloading my free resources This helps me gain recognition as a song writer. Thank you

Assessment Music rhythm

I wrote apiece of entertaining music which is over 9 minutes long so that I could watch the children's sense of rhythm as they played on the claves or tambour to the music. Children who were quite rhythmic made quite complex rhythmic patterns. Its a quick and useful tool for assessment

Songwriting made easy

(1)
A simple but effective idea. The chant has a format. Children have to rewrite the spaces choosing appropriate words . They need to understand syllables before they can do this.

Sound Effects Everyday sounds

(1)
Make up a story using the sound bites as a clue for the setting . Everything is ok until you hear the breaking glass. Put this into a power point and add the sound. You might also like to use a sound processor to compose music culminating in the broken glass. NB You may have to convert these files into WAV files . A switch converter is available on the internet

Video with music showing Mary and Joesph traveling to Bethlehem and scenes from the future are interspersed with this.
