As a Y6 teacher I love covering this book and all its related themes of inclusion, resilience, bullying, disabilities, compassion, kindness and understanding. The book Wonder by R.C.Palacio is a brilliant text to cover in Y6 and provides the opportunity for many writing outcomes - both fiction and non-fiction. Writing outcomes: 1st person narratives Instructions Biographies Picture perfects (creative writing from picture stimulus) This unit includes all teaching slides (week by week) in both Notebook and PDF format for ease of use and all supporting documents in Word (editable) and PDF also. There is a detailed planning document with SEN and challenge most days.
