This lesson plan would ideally be used in Year 5 or 6. It is an English lesson which would tie in with an Art topic or theme. The lesson is clearly differentiated and detailed. The letters from Van Gogh are all over the internet and depending on the ability of the children you could pick and choose as this is more about the skill of making connections and/or reciprocal reading within a group.

A lesson which would be ideal for Year 4 /5 but could easily be adapted to work across KS2 to meet the needs of your children. Ideal in terms of teaching shape specific vocabulary. Integrates the use of Venn diagrams for extra challenge and encourages children to shape their learning by investigating statements. This is simply a plan with suggestions of activities but would be very helpful in terms of helping form a 3D shape lesson.
