Abercorn School

Abercorn School is a co-educational independent school in Marylebone, London, offering prep, pre-prep and nursery education to children aged 2 to 13. Founded in 1987, the school is an International British School and is governed by a board of directors. Pupils may join the school at various ages and from diverse pre-school and school settings.

Within a strongly multi-cultural environment, Abercorn School aims to give pupils the best start in life by providing a friendly, caring and inspiring academic education. The school believes in traditional values and standards. Through this framework, it strives to enable pupils to develop their individual talents and skills. 

Students are provided with the skills to become confident lifelong learners, with the attitudes needed to contribute to both local and global citizenship. Teachers promote independence and a sense of responsibility among their students.

“The overall quality and standards are good… The children’s personal, social and emotional development is excellent; they feel secure and happy. From the youngest age, children happily share resources, take turns and organise themselves and by the end of Reception they are highly independent. The variety of backgrounds and cultures within their inclusive international community encourages children to understand and learn about their individual differences and to respect one another... There is a clear and shared understanding by all staff of the safeguarding and welfare of children.”
