Post: Breakfast Cub Assistant

Location: Morice Town Primary Academy, Charlotte Street, Plymouth, PL2 1RJ

FTE Salary: NJC Grade A £22,366 per annum pro rata (actual salary £2,958 per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent, part-time

Contract Hours:  5.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 9.00am on a Monday and 7.30am to 8.30am Tuesday to Friday

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic play worker required to join our thriving Breakfast club. We are seeking to employ a creative individual who will make a positive contribution to our busy friendly breakfast club.

The role will require:

  • Setting up the hall
  • Preparing and serving breakfast to  the children and cleaning down afterwards
  • Engaging the children in games and fun activities during the morning session
  • Tiding the hall after the session
  • Escorting the children to their classrooms ready to start their learning of the day
  • 30 minutes per week is for first aid box restocking


Already holding a first aid and/or food hygiene qualification would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

Morice Town Primary Academy is a popular and successful school within the local and wider area. The children are aged 4 - 11 years old and we have a single form entry.
