Job overview

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1 from September. The role is a full-time position with working hours of 8.00am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday. We will consider a job share.  

You will be professional, conscientious and have a caring disposition. You will be adaptable and flexible and have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team both within the school and with health specialists.  

The following experience is desirable :- 

  • A qualified teacher, ideally who has worked with children with developmental challenges and has an understanding of the need to readily adapt tasks and activities in the moment 
  • Experience or training in Occupational therapy or other therapies that support children with learning challenges 
  • An interest in learning and developing strategies to support the child both academically and physically  

You will be supported by a strong team and will be provided with morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch during term-time.
