Merchants’ Academy is a 3-18 Academy sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. With rapidly rising exam results and student numbers this is an exciting time to join us.
We are seeking to appoint an Academy Director who is highly ambitious for students, a strategic thinker who is committed to raising standards and has significant evidence of impact on students’ progress. The post will be substantially for the secondary phase whilst there are opportunities for cross phase work.
You will be joining a vibrant staff and work in an exceptional environment. Leadership is fundamental to our professional development programme. The final role and responsibilities will fit the strengths of the appointed person and the needs of the Academy. As Academy Director, you will be committed to transforming the attainment and achievement of all students across the Academy and as such you will have the knowledge and expertise to demonstrate that you will:

Merchants' Academy, part of the Merchants' Academy Trust, is an all-age mainstream school for students from Nursery through to Sixth Form which opened in 2008 as an 11-18 Academy and became an all-age school with the addition of the Nursery and Primary in September 2012. The Academy is co-sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol.
