The Roles

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Additional Learning Support (ALS) Department who, following their recent restructure, are about to embark on an exciting journey of change. This role offers the opportunity to redesign the delivery of services in a new and innovative way.

The successful candidates will have responsibility for coordinating the ALS Assistants, providing them with training, support and direction. Working collaboratively with the other Coordinator and Head of ALS, you will be responsible for assisting the curriculum planning for learners with ALS needs (16-18 and post 19 provision)

The Person

An experienced leader, with a demonstrable track record of success in the field of ALS curriculum delivery, you will also have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the ALS funding claim and audit requirements. Knowledge and experience of assessing and identification of learners’ support needs.
  • Previous experience of supporting learners with Language, Literacy or Numeracy needs.
  • Specialist knowledge of planning Mathematical or English curriculum for learners with ALS needs.
  • A strong commitment to Safeguarding outcomes and Equality of approach for students.
  • An innovative approach with a commitment to quality.
