Area Resource Base Teacher

We are looking to appoint a teacher for our Area Resource Base which caters for ten children with severe and compex needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties and global development delay. The ARB is an integral part of our two form entry school. Our children integrate into mainstream where appropriate and are a highly valued group within our pupil base.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the teaching and learning within the ARB on a day to day basis, as well as managing and developing the support team which consists of three full time teaching assistants. The post will suit a teacher experienced in teaching children with complex learning needs, and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations. The successful applicant will be highly organised and motivated to make a difference to the life chances of some of our most vulnerable children. They will be an effective team leader, eager and willing to play an active role in the life of our school.

This is a permanent full time post.
