Due to increasing student numbers and the recent opening of our 6th Form in September 2014, the successful and oversubscribed Bishop of Winchester Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and highly committed Art & Design Teacher to join a strong and dynamic team of teachers. This will be an exciting opportunity to join an academy which has recently undergone a significant building programme.
The academy is ambitious to be recognised as inspirational. Ofsted have recognised the many strengths of our academy, “The outstanding curriculum has a significant impact on increasing students’ attendance and enjoyment of learning and on the improvements in their achievement.”

The successful applicant will:
- Be an outstanding Art & Design teacher who is dynamic, highly motivated, and innovative.
- Be able to inspire students to have high expectations.
- Ability to teach A-level/BTEC Level 3 is essential.
- Be a positive and supportive mentor to students.
The successful candidate will be joining an academy with a Senior Leadership Team determined, committed and focused on inspiring students to succeed.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy
The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.
The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
