Are you a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join the team at Footsteps Trust Alternative Educational Provision.

Footsteps Trust is a successful, inner-city AEP in the London Borough of Haringey. At Footsteps you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Applications are invited from talented, creative and committed individuals for the post of Art Teacher at our school. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to Footsteps aims, values and ethos and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students, including those with complex behavioural needs.

Footsteps caters to small learning zones with no more than 8 pupils per class. This makes learning more accessible for young people and created a more conducive teaching and learning environment. As such, we are also able to facilitate a great work/life balance.


Hours are Mon - Fri

8:30am - 4:00pm

Requirements

• Ideally qualified teacher status (QTS) or working towards - with significant Sports Qualifications/Knowledge.

• Experience teaching Art to students with SEMH needs or similar challenging backgrounds.

• A genuine passion for working with students with SEMH needs, and a commitment to their holistic development.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Resilience, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

• A reflective and growth-oriented mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development and improvement.

• Understanding of AQA curriculum and exam practice

• Ability to contribute effectively as a team member, sharing best practices and collaborating with colleagues to provide outstanding education and care for students.
