Job overview

Contract Type- Established Full Time

North Yorkshire County Council is pursuing ambitious plans for transformation. We face challenges balancing the need to make large-scale efficiencies with our plans for modernisation, and excellent service delivery outcomes but great progress on that journey has been made. As one of the largest Local Authorities in the country we are fortunate to have the resources to ensure that our priorities are met now and into the future.

We are currently looking for a professional and performance-focused assistant director to drive improvement and change in our Children’s Services Directorate, and support our future direction in relation to SEND provision and inclusion within schools, children’s services and the organisation as a whole. We need an influential assistant director to drive change, help define our future direction, influence key stakeholders and support improvement in inclusion and education, children’s services directorate and across the breadth of the authority. You will probably already be working at a senior leadership level within a related educational context and will have a clear vision of success, a passion for improving services, a track record of delivering lasting and innovative results within children’s services and above all a passionate commitment to achieving excellence for every child.

We provide a comprehensive relocation package, details of which are available on the campaign site listed below.
