About the role:
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Director: English and Maths to provide leadership in driving up quality and success in English and Maths teaching and the integration of English and Maths skills within courses across the College. You will lead on the effective planning and delivery of study programmes; supporting Centres to meet the requirement of study programmes including provision of work experience and related enrichment activity. You will be working in liaison with Centre based and cross College managers and teams.
About You:
You will ideally have recent experience of teaching English or Maths up to GCSE in a post 16 context. As a cross College manager, you will need to have experience of managing teams and have a proven track record of quality improvement. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with managers across the College. You will bring creative and innovative ideas about how the College can deliver English and Maths courses within the study programmes funding envelope. You will have an understanding of different ways in which work related activity, work experience and related enrichment can be organised across the College.
