The Faculty
The Humanities faculty has a mix of more experienced teachers and an exciting cohort of NQTs. Humanities has been used as a leading example in several good practice events and numerous members of the faculty have academy-wide learning and teaching responsibilities.

The Assistant Head of Faculty Post
We are now looking to employ an experienced and proven classroom practitioner, dedicated and committed to moving the faculty toward outstanding. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with ideas on how to improve learning in the classroom and continue our upward trend in results. The successful candidate will work as part of a leadership team within the faculty and play a leading role in the mentoring and coaching of staff, whilst implementing a range of strategies to ensure rapid progress of our students.

This post offers an honorarium of up to £4000 (negotiable on appointment) for the successful candidate. This is an ideal post for those with experience in the classroom looking for their first promotion, however, applications are welcome from those with a proven track record of middle leadership. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of the faculty learning and teaching strategies and demonstrate a passion for student learning. Applications are particularly encouraged from those with a background teaching geography.
