St Andrew’s is a well-established International Primary School following the English National Curriculum and is an associate member of COBIS.

Contract term: 2yr renewable by mutual consent

St. Andrew’s is situated in the Sunnyside suburb of Blantyre in Malawi, “The warm heart of Africa”. It serves a mixture of expatriate and Malawian families. St. Andrew’s has children from Pre-Nursery to Year 6. It is a very popular and well-resourced school following the English National Curriculum.

This role will carry the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring pupil progression throughout the school.
  • Managing and developing assessment policies and practices within the school.
  • Curriculum development ensuring adherence to modern UK practice.
  • Leading teaching by excellent example.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (B.Ed. or PGCE) from an internationally recognised institution.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience (preferably in the UK).
  • Have knowledge of school management.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of current assessment and curriculum practice in the UK.
