St. Andrew’s is situated in the Sunnyside suburb of Blantyre in Malawi, “The warm heart of Africa”. It serves a mixture of expatriate and Malawian families. St. Andrew’s has children from Pre-Nursery to Year 6. It is a very popular and well-resourced school following the English National Curriculum.
This role will carry the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring pupil progression throughout the school.
- Managing and developing assessment policies and practices within the school.
- Curriculum development ensuring adherence to modern UK practice.
- Leading teaching by excellent example.
The successful applicant will:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (B.Ed. or PGCE) from an internationally recognised institution.
- Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience (preferably in the UK).
- Have knowledge of school management.
- Have in-depth knowledge of current assessment and curriculum practice in the UK.
