Job overview
Assistant Headteacher (2 Posts)
Leadership Scale L16-L19
Required for September 2024
Effective leadership ensures that all staff follow a common purpose. You have built a committed and hardworking team who have moved the school a long way along the journey you have planned.’ (Ofsted January 2018).
London East Alternative Provision (LEAP) is a highly-successful, high-achieving, inner-city school, delivering transformative education to young people of all ages from Primary through to Post-16. From September 2024, we expect to be providing education to ca 270 students across the full age range from Primary to Post-16 across three separate sites.
With our school continuing to grow in both size and complexity, we feel the time is now right for a further expansion of our Senior Leadership Team. We are therefore looking to appoint 2 additional Assistant Headteachers for September 2024.
Of the two persons to be appointed, one will take the role of Assistant Headteacher KS3 based at our main Harpley site, whilst the other will lead on Teaching & Learning across all key stages.
We are looking to appoint to these important posts two talented, hard-working and inspirational leaders, with a particular passion for working with disadvantaged, hard-to-reach students in our quest to support them to make informed life choices and go on to lead successful lives.
Each person appointed will be able to demonstrate absolute understanding of and commitment to the LEAP vision, ethos and values – together with a genuine passion for helping turn lives around and the experience, skills and qualities needed to achieve this.
If that sounds like you, then we would love you to apply.
Closing date: Tuesday 7th May 2024, at 9am
Interviews: Week beginning 13th May 2024
Please return your application form by no later than 9am on Tuesday 7th May to Kathryn Ryan, our School Business Manager: Recruitment@londoneastap.org.uk
