The Charter School North Dulwich is an inspiring, exciting and innovative school that genuinely promotes excellence for all, transforms the life chances of its young people and cares about its staff. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, dedicated and ambitious professional to the position of Assistant Headteacher from September 2024.

•        The school is a genuinely inclusive mixed 11–18 comprehensive school adjacent to North Dulwich station and serving a diverse local inner-city community.

•        We are judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted

•        We are regularly placed for progress scores in the top 10% of schools in the country for both GCSE and A Level.

•        We are part of The Charter Schools Educational Trust, benefiting from close collaboration with our sister school, The Charter School East Dulwich, and the wider Trust, particularly the Charles Dickens Research School and the London South Teaching School Alliance.

THE CHARTER SCHOOL NORTH DULWICH

We are looking for a colleague who:

·      Is a highly skilled, dynamic leader with a passion for delivering an excellent SEND Educational provision to all students from Years 7 to 13

·      Consistently models excellent practice and has students' academic progress and personal development at the core of their professional motivation

·      Can lead a large team of SEND teachers and LSAs with vision, rigour and compassion to make a difference to the lives of our young people.

·      Holds an unshakeable belief in the power of education to transform the life chances of young people.

·      Is committed to the values of equality, diversity and inclusion, and genuinely believes that all young people can excel regardless of their starting points of personal circumstances.

·      Consistently models excellent practice, and places students’ achievement, attainment and progress at the forefront of their work.

·      Is a great team player who will lead and develop colleagues, contribute proactively to the school’s Senior Leadership Team, and forge highly effective links across the three secondary schools and the wider Trust.

The Charter School North Dulwich is a fully inclusive mixed 11 - 18 community school, serving an inner city catchment area and achieves significantly above national norms. The school converted to academy status in September 2010.
