Job overview

SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School is a great place to learn and teach. The children are energetic and positive, well supported by their families, and are led by dedicated and forward-thinking staff and governors. Although the school is currently Requiring Improvement, its journey to Good is well established: the school is “taking effective action to tackle the areas requiring improvement” (HMI Nov 2014).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to further develop both classroom and leadership skills, working within an ethos of support and growth. About SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School

SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School is a lovely school set in the heart of Mitcham’s conservation area, close to convenient rail, bus and tram links both into London and out to Surrey.

However, I am sure that you have not chosen to think of our school due to its geographical location, but rather for our passion for learning, our child-centred curriculum that is truly built in partnership between staff and pupils. We have an excellent community cohesion between the school, church and local community where our school’s Mission Statement emphasises our togetherness under Christ’s guidance.

We need staff to enable us to take our school forward on the journey towards Outstanding, staff who are interested in the impact of teaching upon learning, staff who thrive upon knowing that children in their care and under their professional guidance are receiving the very best standard of education.

If this summarises you, then please arrange a visit to the school, to meet our children, staff and myself, and to see what the school has to offer.

Yours sincerely

David Hennessey
