Bishopshalt is an established, successful and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with 1300 on roll including a Sixth Form of 370+. The school is situated in outstandingly attractive grounds in a conservation area on the edge of London and achieves examination results in excess of local and national averages. We have also been awarded Arts Council 'Artsmark Gold'. In February 2012, Ofsted judged us to be a 'Good' school in all categories.
We wish to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher who is an outstanding classroom practitioner and has an excellent track record of improving academic standards and pupil outcomes.
You will be joining a dynamic and visionary team of professionals and therefore will need to:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Have proven management and leadership at either Middle or Senior level.
- Lead by example and lead from the front.
- Be passionate and committed to improving teaching and learning.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent presentational skills.
- Be forward thinking, visionary, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
- Have a sense of humour.

About Bishopshalt School
Bishopshalt School is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Uxbridge, Middlesex, and has about 1,300 pupils.
The school was established as Uxbridge County School in the Greenway in 1907. The former grammar school became a comprehensive school In 1977. It is now operated by the school’s academy trust.
