We are seeking to appoint a well qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Assistant Leader of English to join The Ruth Gorse Academy from September 2015, ensuring that it becomes a truly outstanding establishment. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher who can demonstrate passion and integrity in their approach to teaching.

This is an important role in the academy's development and the successful candidate, with support from the leadership team and the Curriculum Leader of English, will play a vital role in the creation and delivery of a crucial department and an exciting English curriculum. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader who can demonstrate passion, integrity and a strong record of effective practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is keen to be at the forefront of our organisational change. The GORSE Academies Trust continues to demonstrate exceptional opportunities for the students within the Trust. Recently, both The Morley Academy and The Farnley Academy were rated as Outstanding in all categories in their inspections'; we are determined to see The Ruth Gorse Academy achieve the same.

The Ruth Gorse Academy is an exceptional school, delivering high quality education for each and every student. We opened in September 2014 with an initial cohort of 95 Year 7 students growing each year to a maximum cohort of 1250 students. The Academy is currently in temporary accommodation at The Morley Academy for the first two years (Year 7 and Year 8) before moving into its state-of-the-art, city centre new building in September 2016.

The Ruth Gorse Academy moved into a new £23 million premises in September 2016, with exceptional sports facilities, science laboratories and a suite for pupils who have special educational needs.
