The Board of Trustees is currently seeking to appoint a new Assistant Principal with the vision, expertise and drive to lead the overall performance of its Primary section in Abu Dhabi to its next phase of development.
The successful candidate will be/ have:
- Academic qualifications (according to Abu Dhabi Education Council)
- Proven exemplary classroom practice and subject leadership
- Monitoring and evaluation of learning and teaching, leading to effective planning to raise standards
- Excellent understanding of, and experience in, curriculum management, design, implementation and evaluation
- Leadership skills to establish and foster a culture of high expectation
- Competency to evaluate and plan strategically
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of school inspection and accreditation
- Able to lead performance management and recruit sensibly
- Cultural awareness, understanding and sensitivity
- Ability to develop and collaborate with different stakeholder groups
ADEC requirements for appointing Assistant Principal.
- University degree in education + experience not less than five years teaching, including experience in the school leadership position.
- University degree in the school administration + experience not less than four years in the school administration.
- University degree in another field + Certificate in the school leadership + experience not less than six years in teaching, including experience school leadership position.
- Master degree or above in the school administration or leadership.
