Assistant Sports Teacher

The Hawthorns School is a thriving prep day school for children between the ages of 2 and 13. Located on an idyllic 35-acre estate in Bletchingley, Surrey, our mission is to prepare each child for life and to inspire a love of learning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our dynamic team to provide teaching and administrative support, with a particular focus on curriculum sport, including coaching major team sports to children aged 3-13. Outside of term time, the successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of our holiday care programme, including organising and supervising various activities for children. Candidates will have solid experience of participating in team sports and will ideally hold a sports national body qualification. 

This is a full-time, all year-round position with a requirement to work some evenings and weekends. This temporary contract is initially for a period of one academic year. Salary will be subject to age based on the National Minimum Wage. This position would be ideally suited for someone who wants to gain experience in teaching with a view to a future career in this sector.
