We are proud of our school’s unique learning environment and proven record of success. As a Specialist Sports College we strive to ensure that students, teachers and parents take a pride in both individual and collective performances – be they academic, sporting, communicating or working with others. We work with students to help them gain confidence and encourage them to develop enquiring, caring minds.

As well as obtaining the best possible results in external examinations, we want our students to be able to communicate effectively and develop the personal qualities that future employers and society need; to be able to accept challenges, take on responsibility and show compassion and understanding for others.

We prepare students for a responsible life, helping them cope with the unexpected and achieve the high aspirations they set themselves.

Becoming a Sports College has been a significant part in the school’s development, recognising that students have the confidence and ability to perform successfully as individuals and with others. The Sports and Healthy Living Complex offers a tremendous opportunity for our students and the community to develop an active and healthy lifestyle. Older students follow health-related fitness programmes to help them develop a deeper understanding of subjects such as Maths, Science, PE and ICT.
