Co-op Academy Woodlands is a large primary school situated in East Leeds and forms part of the Co-op Academies Trust. Woodlands is an inspiring place to work and learn and as part of the Co-op Academies Trust, to secure excellence in all aspects of its work.  


We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated person to the position of Attendance Support Worker. The post holder will support the operation of the Academy by undertaking a wide range duties within the Attendance Team.

The successful candidate will promote excellent attendance and punctuality, reduce levels of absence and work with children and families to promote high levels of attendance.  To support students in achieving their full potential and to promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture. To undertake first day contact and home visits on a daily basis. The role involves administration and accurate record keeping. 

The role is part time and ideally the hours will be 8.45am to 12.45pm, Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility in the hours for start and finish times for the right candidate which can be discussed at the interview. There is also the potential for the right candidate to join our Woodlands team on a permanent contract to add capacity to our pastoral team.

We are looking for someone who is kind and compassionate but has relentless determination to ensure that children are kept safe and attend school. Ideally you will have experience of working with children and families within a school environment. You must have a full driving licence and have daily access to a vehicle for visits, expenses are paid in line with policy.
