St John Bosco College is located in the heart of Battersea a short distance from Clapham Junction and Battersea Bridge.  We are an 'outstanding' Catholic School (Section 48 inspection June 2019) rated were 'good' by Ofsted in our most recent inspection (October 2022).

At St John Bosco College we believe that there should be no limit on what our pupils can achieve and we expect everyone who joins us to aim high and always do their best. With a broad and balanced curriculum, excellent teaching, a modern purpose-built school and a caring, nurturing ethos; we provide an excellent environment where all of our pupils can reach their full potential.

“Saint John Bosco is a Catholic college, but admits pupils from a wide range of faiths and cultures and these differences are embraced and celebrated” Ofsted

We want our pupils to work hard but also enjoy life in school.  We provide many enrichment activities; sporting, work experience, cultural and charitable; for our pupils to learn and grow beyond the confines of the classroom.  We believe that these opportunities enable our pupils to grow and develop into well-rounded young men and women who will leave here fully equipped for life beyond school.

“Staff know each and every pupil and relationships are consequently highly positive.” Ofsted

Our identity as a Roman Catholic school and our school’s distinctive Salesian ethos is based on St John Bosco’s vision that ‘it is not enough for every child to be loved… they must know that they are loved’. We provide strong pastoral support and a high level of care for every student, regardless of their background.  We are a community where everyone is highly valued as an individual.

“Pupils mix well in this harmonious environment and benefit from personalised support and guidance” Ofsted

Whilst we are justifiably proud of our school and of the achievements of the young people who have already studied here we are equally excited about the future and the potential of the young people joining our school to achieve great things in the years ahead.

“The school’s vision that ‘it is not enough for young people to be loved, they must know that they are loved’ permeates the school’s culture” Ofsted
