The Bridge Academy opened in September 2007 and we currently cater for 900 students in Years 7-11, and a Sixth Form with 250 students.

Our specialisms are Music and Mathematics and we use them to drive innovation and creativity across the Academy. We set high standards for teaching and learning, and our students enjoy a varied, rich and broad curriculum.

Our award winning building in the South of Hackney is outstanding, with state of the art facilities for our students, staff and the local community.

We are seeking a Biology Teacher to join our Science Department for a fixed period. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established and dynamic teacher who is passionate about providing young people with the best possible education whatever their background or ability. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach up to KS4. Experience in teaching up to A Level is desirable, but not essential.

The Bridge Academy opened in September 2007. We educate 900 students in Years 7-11, and our Sixth Form caters for 250 students in Year 12 – 13. Our specialist subjects, Music and Mathematics, sit alongside a broad and rich curriculum; the school timetable has been designed to ensure that there is room for special projects and enrichment and club activities, working with some of the most prestigious organisations in London.
