Boarding Housemaster / Housemistress

Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is an established international school, located in Seremban, Malaysia. The school is approximately 45 minutes away from the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum from Early Years to IGCSE, based on a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

Applicants:

MGS is seeking for Boarding Housemaster / Housemistress - preferable a couple) to take charge of our Boarding House. The House Parent will be expected to demonstrate loyalty to the school, respect confidentiality and model good etiquette at all times. All staff are to be supportive of the School Vision and to enhance the school’s reputation as one which is a warm and caring environment, characterised by efficiency, professionalism and a willingness to meet the individual needs of those within its community. House Parents are required to be in attendance at the School at all times they are rostered for duty and at those other times required by the Director of Boarding. House Parents are required to reside at the School in accommodation provided by the School.

 This role will ensure that the boarding house environment is well organised, orderly and presents in a warm and professional manner. The House Parent is responsible for the operation of the Boarding House on a day-to-day basis, including management of staff and care of students in their House.

• Interpersonal skills.
• Prior work experience within the childcare sector.
• The ability to maintain sensitive matters of the child in confidence.

House Parent Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior training or experience in the same domain.
