Collège Champittet is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Career Counsellor.

You will be part of the Secondary Department of the institution.

Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate interests, knowledge and capabilities of pupils
  • Evaluate education and career path through questionnaires and tests
  • Educate pupils, parents and teachers in career counselling
  • Organize internal career days and work placement in companies
  • Update the list of universities available
  • Being up to date with admissions criteria of Swiss and foreign universities
  • Counsel and guide pupils in the process of application
  • Communicate the calendar and relevant details to pupils, teachers and parents
  • Inform about events, characteristics of universities and their course, display brochures and informative documents
  • Train staff on request of pupils and their role in the process

Your profile:

  • Degree in Psychology, with a specialization in career counselling or equivalent
  • Bilingual French/English
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in career counselling
  • Excellent network with Swiss and US/UK universities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a team ; organisational skills
  • Listening skills and empathy ; analytical and synthesis mind-set
  • Swiss national or valid work permit

 Collège Champittet is an co-educational private school located in Pully, the Swiss canton of Vaud. The school itself is located on the banks of Lake Geneva, close to the Olympic Museum and the centre of Lausanne. Here students can study for a Swiss Maturité, French Baccalaureate, or International Baccalaureate diploma, can follow a bilingual French/English programme, and can become fluent in German. The school teaches from kingergarten through secondary. Boarding school students are accepted from the age of 12. The school is part of Nord Anglia Education, a collection of 43 international schools located in 15 countries worldwide. Extra-curricular activities include entrepreneurship, coding, sports clubs, cultural activities such as singing and drama or language classes. The school was founded in 1903, and merged with Mont Olivet school in 2016.
